nobody will change the way I feelI'm just a man and I am what I am, yeah
Nobody will ever change my ways
I don't need money and I don't need no lies, yeah
I only need to live for today
But I'd like to talk things over with you
I want to hear the things you say, today
Although you won't change me anyway,
oh no way
I wish you'd come and see me,I'd like to hold you
I want to set my mind all free
You understand me woman, you give me time, yeah
But I don't need no sympathy
Still I wonder what it's like to be loved
Instead of hiding in myself
Nobody will change me anyway,
no no way
Nobody's gonna change my world
That's something too unreal
Nobody will change the way I feel
So listen to me now, hear what I say, yeah
Please give me time and maybe love
If there's a God up there, well I hope he helps me
I need him now to set me free
'Cos it may be that it's over for me
If you don't hear the things that I say, today
Nobody will change me anyway,
no no way
Nobody's gonna change my world
That's something too unreal
Nobody will change the way I feel

Poetry FeatureWe were young and we held the sun
Like it would never melt
From between our ice-cream sticky fingers
Because summer made us immortal
And cast away all regrets
Out into the dangers of the open sea
We sent water swirling about our ankles
Sang songs of revolution
Until night came swinging low like a dancer
Making city lights blur bright
Raised aloft as crowns upon high-rise buildings
We laughed like the world had no end
Kissed until our lips grew rosy
And our faces grew flushed with being alive
Hips shaking to an invisible beat
Composed by poets who remained unseen
We were yet untarnished in our happiness
Exhilarated just to breathe
Snatching handfuls of dust and dreams
To throw like gleaming glitter
Hope-saturated, summer's final shimmer
Summer by
And so, the details
of the absolute,
the unthinkable catastrophes
at the root,
are written off
in a margin somewhere
with the hopes that no one
will have time to care
enough to take
a second look
and identify
the twisted crooks
who strategically
stole the truth
from an occupied
phone booth
As a lone voice
on the line,
strained from the weight
of broken time,
searched through words
to find metaphors
to help us heave open
the heavy doors
of the churches
built up on hypocrisy,
and the history books
filled with inaccuracy
that we may one day
pry open our eyes
and free the mouth of truth
from the cupped hand of lies.
Humankind did not rise
by being civilized.
Technology cannot adequately
muffle the cries
of a species pushed forward
by greed and extortion
a people molded by
fear, war, and distortion.
Then of course the timeline
is written and given
with no mention of certain
places, races, or women.
A past full of holes and
souls that were stolen
A present full of commercialized
and falsified optimism.
And a select few who feel the
weight of a fate being untold,
aware of an apocalypse
waiting to unfold
that will collapse the corrupt factions
hiding behind the American dream
that will reveal what the politicians
struggle to keep unseen
that will awaken an inner knowledge
of shared spirituality,
and eliminate the misconception
keeping us from being free.
And finally the cryptic visions
will all make perfect sense;
the phone booth was physicality
and the voice...higher consciousness...
